Ride into the Red: TB Mars, Chapter Zero

Ride into the Red: TB Mars, Chapter Zero
Under the blazing arc of Earth’s last sunlit horizon, a ragtag pack of chrome-anointed riders strapped leather to their backs and strapped their destiny to the belly of a Dragon rocket. We were bikers from all lanes—war vets, garage grease monkeys, hog builders, patch-wearing brothers and sisters—drawn by a single outlaw spark: a chance to carve a new road on the first colony with room enough for the whole pack.
We called ourselves Shadow of Death, but we were only half-kidding. There on the lift-off pad, our choppers—modified for space but still growling—all gleamed under spotlights. Widow, diesel-ghost of my first love; Torch, with pipes wrapped in scorched coil; Dex’s twin-barrel bounty; Sol’s silent cruiser; and Grit’s ride with its frame bolted from rover scraps—each a testament to Earth’s grit, carried thousands of miles up and outward into reasonless red.
How did we sneak all that metal and rumbling horsepower off-planet? That’s the story behind the story, brother. It started with a tycoon’s bet at a backwoods rally, went through a rusty spacerig in orbit, danced in the pockets of greedy spooks... and landed with gravity and fire on the rust-red music plains of TB Mars. We paid for our rides with back-patented engine blueprints, old soldier favors, and a promise: we’d build the first biker sanctuary beyond Earth’s last horizon.
Touchdown. The hatches hissed. We straddled our rides in gravity half as strong as a dentist’s handshake—still heavy but not close enough to kiss home. We gunned the engines, threw dust into still-air, and sent that first roar echoing off basalt walls. It was a literal believer’s moment—the kind of ride you never get over, the kind of dust that marks your lungs for good.
Welcome to TB Mars, where valves hiss oxygen and riders bleed red as the sky. We’re just getting started.
